The underratedviews directed video for NC native Lesthegenius’ song “Raleighwood Hills” shows local authenticity that’s hard to find anywhere else. The mellow track featuring fellow Raleigh artists: Jaxson free & sonny miles, is what can only be described as a city anthem. Whether it’s Jaxson walking around a Raleigh neighbourhood or sonny biking down the street, underratedviews’ direction brings a sense of being at home that anyone can recognize, regardless of where you’re from. This feeling of kinship between artists and the viewer is sufficiently matched by the melodic and lyrical ability of the artists as well, much like “Under The Sun”, the Dreamville and DaBaby collaboration that came out earlier this year.
With each artist having less than 2,000 followers on their respective social medias, it’s obvious they’re all underrated. Whether you like the song or not, it’s hard to deny the fact that each artist has talent and represents their state well.
